    Overview

IVF Herbal Support is a herbal medicine that works in conjunction with IVF hormone treatments to increase the succes rate of embryo implantation.

Our studies have shown that a certain combination of herbs can improve the outcome of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) by improving ovarian response and uterine receptivity.

Herbs have always been an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and play an important role in the physiological mechanisms involved with the uterus, hormones, egg development and general health when preparing for pregnancy and during pregnancy.

TCM has been practiced by almost a fourth of the world's population for five thousand years. Evidence of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of infertility dates back to 11AD.

According to The American Herbal Pharmacoppeia:

"Herbal medicines have a rich and extensive historical basis in use and study which can be referenced to ancient medical writings. More importantly, modern research has validated many of the traditional uses ascribed to herbs. When integrated into medical care with other medications, botanicals can provide consumers and patients with the best chance for maintaining a high quality of life and, in some cases, increase their chance of survival. They can also fill therapeutic niches that are not adequately addressed through conventional therapies."

Chinese herbal formulas have developed over the years into sophisticated therapeutic tools. The IVF Herbal Support formula was developed by Mr. Eyal Politi who is an expert practitioner in Chinese Herbal Medicine and the founder of The Israeli Natural Fertility Clinic. Over the past nineteen years, Mr. Politi worked with thousands of women going through fertility treatments. He continuously observed the effects of hormone treatments used during IVF cycles and the impact these hormones have on the body's temperature, specifically in the lower abdominal and the uterus. Moreover, Mr. Politi observed the vast change in the body's increased fluid level resulting in an environment that he symbolically describes as a 'flooded rice field'. Successful implantation, however, requires a rather dry and warm environment, resembling what he describes as a 'sunny corn field' to embrace the embryo and ensure implantation.

Since many women undergoing IVF treatment experience bloating sensation while on the Follicle Stimulating Hormones (FSH), Mr. Politi's goal was to create an environment in the uterus that resembles the one found during natural pregnancy. After years of clinical trials with over a hundred different herbal formulas, he finally succeeded in creating a remarkably effective formula named - IVF Herbal Support. This formula consists of less than 10 herbs and is capable of supporting a women going through IVF treatment raising the success rate of embryo implantation and thus resulting in many new pregnancies.

Approximately 25% of all fertility prescription drugs are still derived from trees, shrubs or fertility herbs. The World Health Organization notes that of 119 plant-derived pharmaceutical medicines, around 74% are used in modern medicine in ways that correlate directly with their traditional uses as plant medicines by native cultures.

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine:

"Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete system of healing that dates back to 200 B.C. in written form. In the TCM view, the body is a delicate balance of two opposing and inseparable forces: yin and yang. Yin represents the cold, slow, or passive principle, while yang represents the hot, excited, or active principle. Among the major assumptions in TCM are that health is achieved by maintaining the body in a "balanced state" and that disease is due to an internal imbalance of yin and yang. This imbalance leads to blockage in the flow of qi (or vital energy) and of blood along pathways known as meridians. TCM practitioners typically use herbs, acupuncture, and massage to help unblock qi and blood in patients in an attempt to bring the body back into harmony and wellness."

The prescription of herbal remedies takes, a TCM practitioner, years to master because it requires a deep understanding of medical theory and the complexity of herbs. In creating an herbal formula, the TCM practitioner considers the effects or outcome of the remedy. In developing IVF Herbal Support, Mr. Politi focused on effects such as expelling unwanted fluids, warming the blood supply to the uterus, or reducing stress all to aid in the desired outcome of increasing the rate of success for embryo implantation.
